This ice-cream maker is very sturdy - will probably last a lifetime. We've used it almost weekly since purchasing it. The 2-quart size freezes a batch of ice-cream in less than fifteen minutes with hand-cranking only! This is faster than some of the expensive electric countertop machines. Can't say enough good about this machine! It is the perfect size for about four-eight people, depending on how much people eat.
Ordering was easy as well. My only complaint with that is that there must've been a problem with the website that wouldn't allow me to add the electric motor, otherwise I would've bought one of those too. Hand cranking is fine though; like I said, it takes less than fifteen minutes with the 2-quart model, and turns easily enough for a child to do it.
Over-all awesome machine! If you're on the fence about buying it, do it. You won't regret it!
